Here in La Pine and our surrounding community, we work hard. We deserve to play hard too! My goal is to bring more opportunities for people to participate in recreational and enriching activities, and we have the potential. The District has done a lot of good work, has some great facilities and programs, and wonderful hard-working staff members. I would like to help bring the District to the next level:
- Expand programs for all ages - Increase and create more recreational opportunities, including for adults and seniors. Everyone in our community deserves to have fun, healthy, end enriching things to do!
- Communication - Expand public outreach and improve communication, so that everyone in the community knows about the great activities being offered.
- Community input - We need input from the community about what programs and activities people want, so the District can offer the activities people want to participate in.
- Fiscal Responsibility - The District needs stable sources of funding, and your tax dollars, donations, and grants must be spent wisely, efficiently, and transparently.
I grew up in Oregon, and lived most of my adult life on Maui, where I volunteered and served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations. I moved to beautiful La Pine in March, 2018. I love our La Pine community, and am ready to get involved, work hard, and serve the community.
